NREL HPC Accounts
The NREL HPC systems are configured to use an NREL HPC account and password as login credentials. This includes Peregrine, Gyrfalcon, the ssh gateway server, the HPC VPN (Endian Connect App), and other systems that are part of the NREL High Performance Computing environment. NREL HPC accounts have an accompanying One Time Password system, which is used for 2-factor authentication access from outside the NREL network.
As a user facility, anyone who has an allocation is eligible to request an NREL HPC account. Each allocation has an associated project handle, which was specified as part of the allocation request. The process for requesting an account is initiated by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide your contact information and allocation project handle.
If you need any assistance or have questions, please send an email including the allocation project handle and method to contact you to email@example.com. Please provide any details that would best help us to understand how we can help you.
NREL OCIO Accounts
A NREL OCIO Account is used to authenticate to WinHPC and nearly every other NREL Enterprise system. NREL OCIO accounts have an accompanying RSA SecurID keyfob used for 2-factor authentication from outside the NREL network which can be used with the Pulse VPN access method.
If you need help with a NREL OCIO Account or services, please contact the NREL Service Operations Center by sending email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
