Peregrine log in changes coming soon
We want to improve the experience for new users who need to get HPC access. To do that, we're putting new tools in place that will affect how you log in to Peregrine.
We're going to make that change during the system maintenance time that is scheduled for the week of December 7th.
We will send you a temporary HPC password for the Peregrine system the week of December 7th. When Peregrine is available after the system maintenance time, you'll use that temporary HPC password. As soon as you log in, Peregrine will ask you to set a new permanent password.
From then on, your HPC password will be separate from the rest of your NREL accounts. You'll still have to change it every 6 months, and the same password strength policies will apply.
These tools will make it much easier to bring new users --and particularly new external users-- onto the HPC system.
Windows systems and services are not affected.
You will still log into the NREL network with your existing NREL network credentials (UserID and password).
Soon after implementing the new password system, we will provide you additional services, making it easier to get remote access to the Peregrine system.
